About the Nueces County A&M Club
The Nueces County A&M Club is an association
of former students of the Agricultural and Mechanical College
of Texas (Texas A&M College and Texas
A&M University). This club was established for providing
fellowship and serving our Alma Mater. The Nueces County A&M
Club is a chartered club of the Association
of Former Students of Texas A&M University, and is
subject to the provisions set forth in the
Bylaws
of the Association.
Throughout the year, the Nueces County A&M Club sponsors
numerous activities where local Aggies can reunite with
old friends and meet new ones. Annual activities of the
Club include Aggie Muster, the George Puls Jr. '44
Memorial Golf Tournament, and the Lonesome Dove Kickoff
BBQ. Monthly socials include the Aggie Happy Hours and
the Aggie Luncheons.
Aside from promoting fellowship among local Aggies, the
Nueces County A&M Club provides scholarships for future
Aggies from the Corpus Christi area. In fact, the
primary purpose of our events involves raising funds for
our scholarship program.
Club Dues
Annual dues are $25 per household. Dues are levied for the
calendar year.
Membership dues cover the operational expenses of the Club including but not limited
to the following:
- Postage
- Printing
- Purchase of items used at club functions
- Purchase of items used to generate funds at Club functions
- Reimbursement to sub-consultants for services provided (i.e. creation and distribution of newsletter,
web page design and maintenance, etc.)
The Board
of Directors, committee members and other club members
recruit donations of services and items to minimize Club expenses.
Sometimes, however, due to time constraints and/or the lack
of volunteers, it is necessary to hire others to perform work
for our Club.
All proceeds generated by the club (after
expenses) are deposited into our scholarship
fund. The scholarship fund supports area high school students
attending Texas A&M University
in College Station, Texas.
Tax Deductable
Because we are a 501(c)3 organization, $20 of your dues and all cash
donations are tax deductible.
Your donations of funds and services are greatly appreciated!
